Our vision has always been to invest in projects that have the greatest amount of impact on Africa's most vulnerable. It is this reason, we have always wanted to zero our sights in on WATER.
1.6 million people die every year from diarrhoeal diseases (including cholera) attributable to lack of access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation and 90% of these are children under 5.
“Almost 90% of child deaths from diarrheal diseases are directly linked to contaminated water, lack of sanitation, or inadequate hygiene” Sanjay Wijesekera, Global Head of UNICEF’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Programme.
"Safe and readily available water is important for public health, whether it is used for drinking, domestic use, food production or recreational purposes. Improved water supply and sanitation, and better management of water resources, can boost countries’ economic growth and can contribute greatly to poverty reduction." WHO
In a nutshell, contaminated water and lack of sanitation, cause a great deal of unnecessary deaths, and so many more outlining problems, that it really is one of the largest problems in developing nations.
The encouraging thing is that the solutions are simple and obtainable.

Our exploration into new projects coincided with contact from Child 2 Youth Foundation, Uganda. Child 2 Youth is also a grass-roots, volunteer operated organization that shares all the same values we do. After months of discussions and research, we have contracted a partnership with C2Y, and are super excited to announce our very first Water Project - GIVE WATER, change a village.
Uganda is a beautiful country that lies right between DRC Congo and Kenya... the 'link' between our two current countries of operations. (Which really is just the coconut whipping on our banana cream pie! - Road trip across Africa anyone!!??)
We are so pleased with this new partnership and project, and cannot wait to see the impact we can make on these villages in Uganda.
We are excited to spread our wings a little further, learning and growing as individuals, and together as a team. We look forward to where this is taking us.
Please join us in the journey. ( << Click for more details!!)
